Bluetooth pedals
SongSheet Pro includes support for Bluetooth pedals such as the AirTurn BT-105.
Bluetooth pedals are seen by iOS as a keyboard with only a few keys. For example, the 4-pedal AirTurn sends key strokes for cursor up, down, left and right. By default,SongSheet Pro interprets these as previous stanza, next stanza, previous song and next song, respectively.
This means that you can accomplish the same thing via an ordinary external keyboard using the cursor keys.
SongSheet Pro also offers configuration options for six different commands. The commands that can be configured to have different inputs are:
- Previous song
- Next song
- Play/Pause
- Advance 2s
- Previous stanza
- Next stanza
In order to change these configurations, tap on the settings button in either the library or song view. Look for the options for Bluetooth pedals and tap on Configure. Tap on the command that you would like to set the input for, and then when it is highlighted you may press a key on your keyboard or bluetooth pedal to assign to that command. Make sure to save your changes.
If ever you wish to reset the configurations, simply tap on Load Defaults. Tapping on the Trash button will remove the input, leaving the command with no assigned key.
See the documentation for your particular pedal in order to pair and connect it to your iPad. Once connected, it should work with SongSheet Pro out of the box.
Alternatively, for more flexibility, use the free SongSheet Remote app on your iPhone or iPod Touch.
