Sharing songs
SongSheet Pro facilitates easy sharing of individual songs within your library to other SongSheet Pro users.
While viewing the song you wish to share, open the share sheet by tapping
(the share button). This will present you with several sharing and export options. These options include exporting, printing or saving the song.
Export as
SongSheet Pro offers several export formats. These include ChordPro v4.6, ChordPro v5.0, PDF, OnSong, and DSBsoft Song Sheet for Windows. Tap on the desired export format, and then you will be given the option to save or send the file using various methods, copy the file, or save it to files. If you wish to export to PDF, SongSheet Pro will allow you to markup or print the file as part of the conversion process.
When trying to export files such as PDF or Word, the export options are much more limited. For PDF, SongSheet Pro only offers exporting the file as a PDF, and for Word documents, you can export into either a PDF or a Word file. If you wish to use one of the other export formats, first convert the song into SongSheet Pro’s native format, then export the converted file to the desired format.
Print/PDF
Tapping on this option will bring up the Print/PDF Preview. From here you can adjust the format and layout of the chords and lyrics, then either print the song or save it as a PDF.
If you try to print a file that is not in SongSheet Pro’s native format, then you will be presented with the option to print the file or export it as a PDF. If you convert the file to SongSheet Pro’s native format, then you will be able to use the full range of lyrics and chord customizations that SongSheet Pro offers.
Save to Files
This will allow you to save the song directly to your device’s file system.
Send via Mail
If you choose to share the song via Mail, a mail compose window will be opened, in which the song you have selected is embedded within a link. Because some mail clients do not handle the embedded data in the link properly, the song is also included as an attachment.
Specify a recipient in the To: field, then tap Send. The recipient should open the email on their iPad, and then simply tap the link within the email to import the song directly into their copy of SongSheet Pro. If the link doesn’t work, then they’ll need to open the attachment instead, at which point the device will prompt the user to open the file in SongSheet Pro.
