Keyboard shortcuts

SongSheet Pro has added many keyboard shortcuts to ease your song editing tasks. Below you can find some of the shortcuts, along with a short explanation of what they do.

To see all the shortcuts available to you at any one time, in iOS 18 and earlier, press and hold ⌘ (the command key) for three seconds, and a handy window will pop up with the available shortcuts at that moment. In iOS 26 and later, swipe down from the top of the screen to get the menu bar.

We have also outlined all the keyboard shortcuts available to you in the appendix.

In the song editor:

Shortcut	Action
⇧⌘L	Format line as lyrics
⇧⌘C	Format line as comment
⌥⇧⌘L	Format stanza as lyrics
⌥⇧⌘T	Format stanza as tablature
⌘R	Rename current stanza
⌘S	Select the chord at the current cursor location

When a chord is selected:

Shortcut	Action
←	Move the chord left one character
→	Move the chord right one character
⌫	Delete the chord
⌘D	Deselect the chord
⇧⌘C	Enter a custom chord name
⌘↩	Apply changes to the chord
