SongSheet Pro release notes - 2025
Version: 2025.19
(Released December 21, 2025)
Song Library
- Added the ability to individually toggle whether or not artist name, key, capo, tempo, and song duration details are displayed in the song lists.
Document Scanning
- Importing via the document scanner now automatically detects song metadata in the scanned document.
- Optionally choose to convert a scanned document to text format in the import preview.
Song Editing
- The capo is now editable in the song viewer even when not editing a song.
- Added a setting to show or hide the capo when viewing a song, if the capo is not set.
- The time signature picker now allows picking from 1/1 to 16/64.
- Time signature is now optional for a song.
- You can now set the tempo by typing in a value, in addition to using the slider.
- A song’s key is now only displayed if a key is explicitly set (previously it would display a default of C major).
- Added a button to clear the song key in the set key/transpose to key popover.
- If a song has no key set, tapping the “Set key” button will now attempt to guess the song’s key based on the chords in the song, and suggest it in the key selector.
- Added the ability to edit a song’s tempo, time signature, capo, year, and copyright in the metadata editor, making it possible to set these values for PDF, RTF, and Word document files.
- Moved selecting a song key to a popover in the song metadata editor.
- Chords in the chord palette are now sorted according to the currently set key.
- Transposing between keys now more accurately picks the resulting chord name and modifier (sharp/flat/etc) based on position within the key.
- Transposed chords may now display a double-flat or double-sharp modifier. Exporting songs with these modifiers to e.g. ChordPro will automatically simplify them to their enharmonic equivalents.
- Added initial support for Nashville Number chords (i.e. “1” “♯3”, “♭5”, “1/3”, etc). While the chord editor currently doesn’t directly support editing/creating such chords, chord names entered as “custom” chords will be parsed correctly as Nashville Number chords if they follow the correct format.
