Version 1.2
Released January 31, 2013
New features
- Added the ability to show dictionary definition of a term while editing lyrics
- Added Dutch language support; and the ability to override the system default language and always use English
- Added ability to specify or transpose key and change capo while editing song lyrics
- Added support for importing .dbt files from DSBsoft’s “Song Sheet 5” windows application
Changes
- Tapping enter on the keyboard when renaming a set list or theme now commits the new name, while preventing blank names
- Can now drag to move chords using a long press as well as a pan (i.e. press and hold on the chord view)
- Allow the choose/clear song menu to show while a song is playing; song will auto pause when a menu item is selected
- Allow timeline markers to be added while the song is not playing
- Added primitive detection of title/author when importing a song from plain text
- Tapping Return on a text field in the song info page will automatically move focus to the next text field
- More intelligent new set naming so that a higher number is always chosen
- Improved set deletion and management
- Improved user experience when importing a song from another app using “Open in…” - now asks the user to cancel/replace/create new if the song being imported is a duplicate (duplicate based on title and author); import always happens from the Library view screen
- Converted song import via URL to use the same preview and other semantics as song import via file “Open in…”
- Added text clear button to the custom stanza name dialog
- Removed backing track selection from song info screen as it is redundant and caused a bug where selecting the track there wouldn’t update the media controller properly in the lyrics view
- Added default text to custom chord creation and also added checks for an empty chord
- Added auto capitalisation on stanza renaming
- When capo changes, the chords in the song are transposed while the key remains the same
Bug fixes
- Display “Untitled” instead of “(null)” when importing a plain text song without a detected title
- Fixed copy/paste bug where short words would paste the chord palette markup instead
- Currently playing song now properly pauses when app goes to the background and the UI state is updated appropriately
- Fixed sizing of “delete” and “move up” buttons on the playlist edit screen, so that they will resize with localisations that make the words longer
- Fixed crash that happened when playing a background track, going back to the library screen, then viewing a different song without a backing track, waiting for the song to finish, going back to the original song and pressing the play/pause button. Same thing also with selecting a different track in the drop-down list in the perform view.
- Pasting text of an entire song into a newly created song now will set the title/author if found
- Moving the text location by tapping on the screen while an auto-correct word is shown will properly commit the suggested auto-correct now, in the right location
Version 1.1
Released December 20, 2012
New Features
- Added jazz notation option for display of chords
- Added the ability to open plain text and ChordPro format files in SongSheet from other apps (e.g. Mail, Dropbox, etc)
- Added “demo mode” where AirPlay mirroring only mirrors what is on the iPad screen, instead of showing the verse presentation view
Changes
- Disabled page turning when in edit mode in the perform view
- Media controller / external display preview now available in landscape mode
- Media picker now displays in a popover window rather than full screen in iOS 6.0 and above devices
- When lines are dragged to rearrange, the keyboard is no longer hidden, to make it easier to do fine adjustments; the caret position is set to the beginning of the line dragged when the drag is finished
- When paragraphs are dragged to rearrange, the caret position is set to the beginning of the paragraph when the drag is finished
- Added shadow to buttons on external display preview to make them easier to see on light backgrounds
- Added audio and visual feedback for tapping on chords in the chord keyboard input accessory
Bug Fixes
- Fixed bug when moving playlist song downwards within same set going to wrong slot
- Fixed crash when deleting a song from “All Songs” and then going to a set where it was used.
- Maintain aspect ratio on album art
- Show “music note” icon when selected song has no album art, rather than a blank square
- Fixed crash when deleting a chord that was at the end of a song
- Fixed end-of-song detection when playing a song from the iTunes library
